Before Care Instructions for BBL

We recommend a series of 3-5 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart
Topical Lidocaine will be prescribed for this treatment and should be applied 45 minutes before appointment
No sun exposure 2 weeks prior to treatment, including self-tanners and spray tans
No Retinol or Retin-a 1 week prior to treatment
No blood thinners such as advil, aspirin, or ibuprofen 7-10 days prior to treatment
Discuss with your provider if you are taking any antibiotics or have a history of fever blisters

After Care Instructions for BBL

You may experience redness and mild swelling for 3 to 5 days after your treatment. Minor scabbing can develop on the treatment areas which will naturally heal. Your overall skin texture may feel dry and like sandpaper, but these are normal side effects that will subside after 4-7 days of treatment.
Avoid sun exposure and all retinol products for two weeks after your treatment.
Avoid scented lotions and soaps, exfoliating creams, shaving, swimming pools/spas with chlorine or other chemicals until sensitivity has completely subsided.
Avoid activities that cause excess sweating until sensitivity has completely subsided.
Avoid picking or scratching the treatment area.
Sleep elevated to avoid additional swelling.
We recommend using the following gentle products post procedure: ZO gentle cleanser, Hydrinity HA Restorative Serum, Hydrinity Restorative HA Masque, and Skinbetter ToneSmart Mineral SPF.
